About Red Panda
Authentic Nepali hospitality in historic Gorkha
Our Story
Ghyachchok is a historic Gurung village in the Gorkha District of western Nepal, resting at an elevation of 1,630 meters above sea level. Once reduced to rubble by the devastating earthquake of 2015, the village has risen again stronger, prouder, and deeply rooted in resilience.
Nestled in this reborn landscape, Red Panda is more than a place to stay it is a living gateway to the Himalayas. Wake up to crisp mountain air, panoramic ridgelines, and the rhythmic sounds of nature untouched by time.
Our surroundings invite adventure and stillness in equal measure. Guests can explore scenic hiking trails through dense forests, camp under starlit skies, and experience peaceful bird-watching mornings filled with rare Himalayan species. For the lucky and the patient, the forests whisper stories of the elusive red panda an emblem of harmony between nature and life.
At Red Panda, hospitality is personal, culture is alive, and every stay contributes to sustainable tourism and local livelihoods. This is not a getaway it's a reconnection with nature, heritage, and yourself.
